If it’s April, it’s the start of another Nationals’ campaign! We are forever grateful to our longest-term clients, Lisa and Shane Parrish from Peter Mayer Productions, for their trust in us for over two decades. We started working with Peter Mayer — the OG from Team PMP — back in the 90s, and have been handling print and digital creative for the National Association of Home Builders’ (NAHB) largest and most prestigious annual awards competition for over 10 years.
Established in 1982, The Nationals celebrates North America’s best in new-home sales and marketing, and recognizes outstanding achievements in architecture, interior design and landscaping.
Each year, Weston/Mason Marketing designs the overall event graphics and applies them to The Nationals website, advertising and collateral. The campaigns run for several months, starting with the call-for-entries in July, continuing through the judging process and Silver Awards’ announcement in November and culminating with the Gold Awards’ ceremony the following February.
Along the way, we design, program and produce print and digital ads, direct mailers, eblasts and multiple website updates — with the purpose of generating entries, announcing finalists and promoting ticket sales. We also create an extensive digital flip book to showcase the winners, as well as a printed program for the live event. And starting last year, our assignment expanded when NAHB requested that we create the winners’ flipbooks for several of their other annual competitions.
In April of 2018, Team PMP fell in love with the grid layout of Weston/Mason’s newly redesigned website and asked us to adapt it for thenationals.com — which required a complete overhaul and a change in platform.
